Application of Course Knowledge
In my second year as a nurse in an outpatient clinic, I witnessed a situation involving incivility that significantly impacted both the team and the quality of care. A senior nurse frequently spoke dismissively to a newly hired nurse, often interrupting her, criticizing her charting methods in front of patients, and making sarcastic comments during team meetings. The tension between them was visible, and it created discomfort among other staff.
