Condition Selection and Rationale

I have chosen Type 2 Diabetes as the condition of focus for this discussion. As a nurse, I frequently encounter patients managing this chronic illness. My interest stems from seeing the impact of diabetes on diverse populations and its strong correlation with modifiable risk factors. I am particularly interested in improving patient education and self-management strategies to prevent complications such as neuropathy, retinopathy, and cardiovascular disease.
