- Reflect on your learning experience. Which concepts stood out to you and made an impact? How do you envision using the concepts learned in this course in your future nursing practice as a master’s prepared nurse?
- Describe how course learning activities and assignments will help you achieve MSN Program Outcome 3: Engage in lifelong personal and professional growth through reflective practice and appreciation of cultural diversity. (Cultural Humility).
- Describe how course learning activities and assignments will help you achieve ONE of the subcompetencies listed below that are related to the AACN Essentials Competency 1.1: Demonstrate an understanding of the discipline of nursing’s distinct perspective and where shared perspectives exist with other disciplines listed below.

- 1.1e: Translate evidence from nursing science as well as other sciences into practice
- 1.1f: Demonstrate the application of nursing science to practice
- 1.1g: Integrate an understanding of nursing history in advancing nursing’s influence in health care
- Communicate using respectful, collegial language and terminology appropriate to advanced nursing practice.
- Professionalism in Communication: Communicate with minimal errors in English grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation.

Application of Course Knowledge
Throughout this course, the integration of evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the role of nursing science in advanced practice stood out as foundational concepts. One impactful lesson was the emphasis on cultural humility and its application in delivering equitable and inclusive care. The concepts surrounding reflective practice also resonated strongly, as they emphasized the importance of self-awareness and continuous learning in nursing leadership.
In my future role as a master’s-prepared nurse, I envision applying these concepts by fostering inclusive healthcare environments and leading initiatives grounded in evidence-based approaches. Specifically, I will use reflective practice to evaluate my own biases and assumptions and to guide my professional development. The focus on cultural humility will aid in developing culturally responsive care plans and building stronger therapeutic relationships with diverse patient populations.
