Data Analysis Integrity
For your first post discuss the objective choices and subjective choices that arise when obtaining, analyzing and drawing inferences from data. Refer specifically to your major project submitted in period 3. Note any changes made (or not made) to the theory and hypothesis development once your data was analyzed. Integrate biblical principals into your discussion, particularly regarding integrity and reputation (Prov 22:1), equal weights and measures (Prov 20:10), the wisdom of many counselors (Prov 11:14), the value of prior knowledge (Deut 6:6-9) and the importance of new discovery (Prov 25:2).

Data Analysis Integrity
Objective and Subjective Choices in Data Analysis
In my major project submitted in period 3, several objective and subjective choices arose during the data analysis process. Objective choices included selecting statistical tools and ensuring consistency in data entry. These choices were based on standardized methods that minimized bias and provided reliability. I used descriptive statistics to summarize data and identify patterns. However, subjective choices occurred when interpreting data trends or determining which variables were most relevant to my hypothesis. I had to rely on judgment and experience, which could influence the conclusions drawn.
Upon analyzing the data, I revisited the hypothesis and theory. Though the core theory remained unchanged, the hypothesis was slightly adjusted. Originally, I expected a stronger relationship between leadership training and team performance. However, the data revealed only a moderate correlation. Therefore, I refined the hypothesis to reflect this more accurate finding. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us that “in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” Seeking advice from peers helped reduce bias and confirm sound interpretations.
Biblical Principles and Research Integrity
Biblical principles guided my approach throughout the analysis. Proverbs 22:1 emphasizes the value of a good name, which aligns with maintaining academic integrity in reporting findings honestly. Proverbs 20:10 warns against dishonest scales, which applies to ensuring fairness in data handling and analysis. I avoided manipulating data to suit preconceived ideas, preserving trust in the results.
