reading and video assignments for each Module: Week. Remember what you get out of this process is what you put

athletic team or coaching, use your most recent team/athletic experience when you answer questions that relate to
your current experience.
You need to include both the questions and your answers when you submit the assignment; do not leave the
questions out. The completed assignment for the module should be 1 – 2 pages.

Appreciated Attributes from a Coach
A coach plays a vital role in shaping athletes’ experiences. I appreciate coaches who show patience, dedication, and fairness. A good coach balances discipline with encouragement. They provide constructive feedback while respecting athletes’ individuality. Coaches who listen and communicate effectively build trust. Their ability to motivate during challenges stands out. They also model professionalism, inspiring athletes to follow their guidance. These attributes build a strong foundation for personal and team growth.
Being My Own Coach
Imagining myself as my own coach emphasizes responsibility. I would need to hold myself accountable for discipline, consistency, and improvement. It would involve setting clear goals and monitoring progress. Being my own coach requires self-motivation and resilience when facing setbacks. It also demands honesty about strengths and weaknesses. Although challenging, self-coaching builds independence. It enhances problem-solving and ensures that I remain committed to my long-term development.
My Dimension as Athlete/Coach
I identify with a balanced athlete/coach dimension. I value both physical preparation and mental motivation. As an athlete, I focus on hard work and persistence. As a coach, I prioritize communication and empathy. This dual perspective helps me understand challenges from both roles. It enables me to guide others while still learning and improving. I strive for balance between toughness and understanding in all training contexts.
Future Coaching Plan
My coaching plan is to capture athletes’ hearts through motivation and trust. I will focus on creating an environment where athletes feel valued and supported. This involves listening to their goals and challenges. I plan to use encouragement, personalized feedback, and consistent communication. Building team unity will also be a priority. By doing this, athletes will not only improve physically but also gain confidence and commitment.
