Building Positive Relationships
In Chapter 5: Relationship, Relationship, Relationship, Kaiser and Reminsky write, “Research into the brain and resiliency reveals that consistent, nurturing relationships are a child’s best protection against risk – including the risk of challenging behavior” (2017, p. 62). For educators this means not only fostering relationships with the child, but also with the families of the children that educators are supporting.
